Personal Branding 2024

It's been quite some time since I've revisited my personal branding. To be honest, my personal branding is not something I've ever really invested meaningful time into developing - always another project or priority that came first and so my branding has not been much more than a logo to have for business cards and my website.

Personal branding is also somewhat intimidating for myself and many other designers, especially when you're developing it yourself. To translate your identity as a designer and creator into a visual representation is by no means any easy feat. I also feel like we (as ourselves, designers) can be the most difficult client to please that there is, constantly scrutinizing every detail and feeling like you're never "finished" and there's always something to be improved.

But I think that's a big part of the challenge of creating your own identity; not just the actual ideation and execution, but deciding and committing to when it's "done". With that being said, I'm very pleased with how this work came together. I had been recycling the same motifs year after year, and this time I've tried a different approach that involved some new techniques, graphics styles and texture.
